Day Eight//Monday
Jachen was at work this day so the Nylands to decided to hang around the house and our city. We took a trip to the grocery store to load up on the last bit of food for the week and that afternoon Stephanie taught me how to make yummy teriyaki meatballs that we ate for dinner. After dinner we went to a thrift store and of course that evening after Henry was in bed we played Monopoly deal.

Day Nine//Tuesday
Jachen was at work half day and when he came home we ate lunch all together and then drove into St. Gallen. There we visited the beautiful St. Gallen cathedral, did some shopping and walked around the beautiful city. On our way home we stopped off at a Nestle factory outlet store...which had reduced price Nestle products. Rob and Stephanie discovered the place on one of their walks and Jachen and I are really excited we now can shop there. We ate yummy corn bread and enchilada casserole for dinner, yum, and played more Monopoly deal. We even skyped the Quigley's for a bit while we played.

Day Ten//Wednesday, The 4th of July
Jachen worked in the morning and Stephanie and I prepped the food for the 4th of July celebration for later that day. I made Jachen a surprise strawberry cheesecake, his favorite, that we shared that night when we surprised him with a little early birthday party.

On our way to Lake Walensee we stopped at a beautiful monastery situated on a beautiful high hill, which Jachen and I have been before, here. Then we drove the rest of the way to the most beautiful Lake Walensee. The weather was beautiful when we arrived. We found a spot at the lake and began our picnic. After about an hour or so we started to feel some rain drops but continued to hang out there. {but decided to pack up most the food just in case and good thing we did}. Then we felt more and more rain drops then all of a sudden it began to POUR huge drops of rain. We rushed to the car and by the time we got to the car the rain stopped. Ha. Typical.

We drove off anyway and headed home going a different direction. On the way home we passed Liechtenstein and we noticed a castle high on a hill that we had never seen before so we decided to go check it out. It was beautiful. We had to walk up the hill to the castle and you could really only go to the outside terrace. You could only go inside the castle if you were on our tour, said the tour guide we meet there. We found out from him the name of the castle is Gutenberg.

On our drive home from the castle the rain started again, major major downpour. A bit of flooding was happening on the highway, but we made it home safe. At home, the Nylands finished packing their bags and we finished the night with strawberry cheesecake, presents and Monopoly Deal. {i am addicted to the game}

The next morning, Thursday we took the Nylands to the airport. It was sad to see them go, but I was even more sad when I came home to the house and they weren't in it. Being home didn't feel the same without them. I felt homesick for them. We are so happy they came to visit us and see this beautiful side of the world. We enjoyed our time with them and I love and miss so much that little Henry. He is quite the little boy. I can't wait to see him on Skype next and next time we see him in real life he will not be such a little boy anymore. Thanks for coming to visit!
