My friend Oliver from college arrived in Switzerland this morning to spend the week here with his dad and I got to see him today! He took a train from Zurich to our city and we packed him a lunch, drove through the beautiful St. Gallen city, made our way through beautiful back roads to Appenzell, showed him how to maneuver a grocery store, drove around more beautiful hills, took him to the Appenzeller Cheese factory, more beautiful hills and then back to our city where we made him dinner. He had a great time and was happy to get a "behind the scenes" tour of Switzerland. We wish we could have spent more time with him while he is here in Switzerland, but we leave EARLY tomorrow morning for our trip to Paris, sorry Oliver it was the same weekend. It's always fun when Jachen gets to meet friends of mine for the first time, he is so great with them.
Look at him doing a "hi ho hi ho" dance with those gnomes, what a goof.
Thanks Oliver for coming to see us and for distracting me from my anxious/nervousness for our trip tomorrow. Glad you got to meet Switzerland.
